KINGSPORT – Judy Pearl (Manis) Baker, of Kingsport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kingsport to the late, Martin Manis and Ann Manis Addington. Judy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite past-times was caring for her beautiful flower gardens. Mrs. Baker was a C.P.A. and a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church, Kingsport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Manis and Ann Manis Addington. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of thirty years, Richard Baker; daughter, Teresa Roop (Tim); sons, David Martin Williams (Amy), George Williams (Michelle), step-daughters, Penny Clapp (David), Heather Coffey (Barry); granddaughters, Chelsae Troutt (Shawn), Haley Thomas (Brody), Logan Williams and fiance’ Hunter Talbott, Audrey Williams, Devyn Williams and Channing Williams; grandsons, Jordan Roop (Whitney) and David Roop; step-granddaughters, Corrie Ledgerwood, Colbie Childress, Savannah Clapp and Brittany Coffey; step-grandsons, David Clapp, Jr., Corbet Coffey and Chris Coffey; great-granddaughter, Alexis Ann Troutt; brother, Waymond Manis (Phyllis); several special aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at the residence of her son, George and Michelle Williams any time and Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4:00-6:45 pm at Higher Ground Baptist Church, 1625 Lynn Garden Drive, Kingsport, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm with Dr. Phil Hoskins and Dr. Ronnie Owens officiating. An Entombment and Committal Service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Mausoleum IV at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers, Jordan Roop, David Roop, Hunter Neeley, Hunter Talbott, Brody Thomas and David Clapp, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Clapp, Sr., Barry Coffey and Colbie Childress. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Indian Path Medical Center, Fresenius Medical and Mountain States Hospice for their love, care and support. The care of Judy Pearl (Manis) Baker and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
