Ralph Paul Necessary

KINGSPORT – Ralph Paul Necessary, 77, of Kingsport entered into Heaven on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was the son of the late Henry and Annie Pearl Necessary. Ralph attended Beulah Baptist Church in Kingsport. Although retired, Ralph worked for decades at J.P. Stevens Textiles primarily as a mechanic and trainer. He was dedicated to his family and an avid outdoorsman. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years, Betty Lou Necessary; sister, Maxie Necessary and an infant son. Surviving Ralph is his daughter Robin D. Martin and husband Tim; son Jake Necessary and wife Sharon; two brothers: David and James Necessary. Ralph was the proud grandfather of five: Taylor Blake, Kinley and Cory Martin, Sarah and Katie Necessary; five great-grandchildren; best friend Johnny Jordan; along with many nieces, nephews, cherished friends, hunting, and fishing buddies. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Al South officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Park with a graveside committal service on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. The family has requested everyone to dress casually for all services. All arrangements are entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.eastlawnkingsport.com
